Bhagavadgita 14.7 & 14.8

रजो रागात्मकं विद्धि तृष्णासङ्गसमुद्भवम्।

तन्निबध्नाति कौन्तेय कर्मसङ्गेन देहिनम्।।14.7।।

14.7 The mode of passion is born of unlimited desires and longings, O son of Kunti, and because of this one is bound to material fruitive activities.

14.7 ರಜೋಗುಣವು ರಾಗರೂಪವಾಗಿರುವುದೆಂದು ತಿಳಿ. ಅದು ಬಯಕೆ, ಆಸಕ್ತಿ - ಇವುಗಳಿಗೆ ಕಾರಣವು ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿ. ಎಲೈ ಕೌಂತೇಯನೇ, ಅದು ದೇಹಿಯನ್ನು ಕರ್ಮಸಂಗದಿಂದ ಕಟ್ಟಿಹಾಕುವುದು.

तमस्त्वज्ञानजं विद्धि मोहनं सर्वदेहिनाम्।

प्रमादालस्यनिद्राभिस्तन्निबध्नाति भारत।।14.8।।

14. 8 O son of Bharata, the mode of ignorance causes the delusion of all living entities. The result of this mode is madness, indolence and sleep, which bind the conditioned soul.

14.8 ಭಾರತಾನೆ, ತಮಸ್ಸಾದರೋ ಅಜ್ಞಾನದಿಂದ ಆಗಿರುವುದೆಂದು ತಿಳಿ. ಅದು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ದೇಹಿಗಳನ್ನು ಮೋಹಗೊಳಿಸುವುದು. ಅದು ಪ್ರಮಾದ, ನಿದ್ರೆ, ಆಲಸ್ಯ ಇವುಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ಕಟ್ಟಿಹಾಕುವುದು.
