Bhagavadgita 3.42 & 3.43

इन्द्रियाणि पराण्याहुरिन्द्रियेभ्यः परं मनः।

मनसस्तु परा बुद्धिर्यो बुद्धेः परतस्तु सः।।3.42।।

3.42 They say that the senses are superior (to the gross body); the mind is superior to the senses; but the intellect is superior to the mind. However, the one who is superior to the intellect is He.

3.42 ಇಂದ್ರಿಯಗಳು (ಶರೀರಕ್ಕಿಂತ) ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನದೆನ್ನುವರು; ಇಂದ್ರಿಯಗಳಿಗಿಂತ ಮನಸ್ಸು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನದು; ಮನಸ್ಸಿಗಿಂತ ಬುದ್ಧಿಯು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನದು; ಬುದ್ಧಿಗಿಂತಲೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನವನು ಆತ್ಮನು.

एवं बुद्धेः परं बुद्ध्वा संस्तभ्यात्मानमात्मना।

जहि शत्रुं महाबाहो कामरूपं दुरासदम्।।3.43।।

3.43 Understanding the Self thus as superior to the intellect, and completely establishing (the Self) in spiritual absorption with the (help of) the mind, O mighty-armed one, vanish the enemy in the form of desire, which is difficult to subdue.

3.43 ಹೇ ಮಹಾಬಾಹುವೇ, ಬುದ್ಧಿಗಿಂತ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠನಾದ ಆತ್ಮನನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಯುವುದರಿಂದ ಮತ್ತು ಆತ್ಮನಲ್ಲೇ ನೆಲೆಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ 'ಬಯಕೆ' ಎಂಬ ರೂಪದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ನಿನ್ನ ವೈರಿಯನ್ನು ವಧಿಸು.
