Bhagavadgita 3.16 & 3.17

एवं प्रवर्तितं चक्रं नानुवर्तयतीह यः।

अघायुरिन्द्रियारामो मोघं पार्थ स जीवति।।3.16।।

3.16 O Partha, he lives in vain who does not follow here the wheel thus set in motion, whose life is sinful, and who indulges in the senses.

3.16 ಹೀಗೆ ಪ್ರಪಂಚದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಕರ್ಮಚಕ್ರವನ್ನು ಯಾವನು ಅನುಸರಿಸದೇ ಇರುತ್ತಾನೋ ಅವನ ಜೀವನವು ಪಾಪಮಯವಾಗಿರುವುದು. ಇಂದ್ರಿಯಗಳ ಸುಖದಲ್ಲೇ ಕಾಲಕಳೆಯುತ್ತಿರುವವನ ಬಾಳು ವ್ಯರ್ಥವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.

यस्त्वात्मरतिरेव स्यादात्मतृप्तश्च मानवः।

आत्मन्येव च सन्तुष्टस्तस्य कार्यं न विद्यते।।3.17।।

3.17 But that man who rejoices only in the Self and is satisfied with the Self, and is contented only in the Self-for him there is no duty to perform.

3.17 ಆದರೆ, ಯಾರು ಆತ್ಮನಲ್ಲೇ ರಮಿಸುತ್ತಿರುತ್ತಾನೋ, ಆತ್ಮನಲ್ಲೇ ತೃಪ್ತನಾಗಿರುತ್ತಾನೋ, ಆತ್ಮನಲ್ಲೇ ಸಮಾಧಾನ ಹೊಂದಿರುತ್ತಾನೋ, ಅಂತಹವನಿಗೆ ಮಾಡಬೇಕಾದ ಕರ್ಮವು ಯಾವುದೂ ಇರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
