Bhagavadgita 6.2 & 6.3

यं संन्यासमिति प्राहुर्योगं तं विद्धि पाण्डव।

न ह्यसंन्यस्तसङ्कल्पो योगी भवति कश्चन।।6.2।।

6.2 O Arjuna, know Yoga to be that which they call renunciation; For, nobody who has not given up expectations can be a yogi.

6.2 ಎಲೈ ಪಾಂಡವನೇ, ಯಾವುದನ್ನು ಸಂನ್ಯಾಸವೆಂದು ಕರೆಯುತ್ತಾರೋ ಅದನ್ನೇ ಯೋಗವೆಂದು ತಿಳಿ. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ, ಸಂಕಲ್ಪವನ್ನು ಸಂನ್ಯಾಸ ಮಾಡದ ಯೋಗಿಯಾಗಲಾರ.

आरुरुक्षोर्मुनेर्योगं कर्म कारणमुच्यते।

योगारूढस्य तस्यैव शमः कारणमुच्यते।।6.3।।

6.3 For the sage who wishes to ascend to (Dhyana-) yoga, action is said to be the means. For that person, when he has ascended to (Dhyana-)yoga, inaction alone is said to be the means.

6.3 ಯೋಗವನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯುವ ಇಚ್ಛೆಯುಳ್ಳ ಮುನಿಗೆ ಕರ್ಮವು ಸಾಧನವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಯೋಗವನ್ನು ಪಡೆದ ಮೇಲೆ, ಅದೇ ಮುನಿಗೆ ಶಮವು (ಅಕರ್ಮವು) ಸಾಧನವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.
