Bhagavadgita 4.39 & 4.40

श्रद्धावाँल्लभते ज्ञानं तत्परः संयतेन्द्रियः।

ज्ञानं लब्ध्वा परां शान्तिमचिरेणाधिगच्छति।।4.39।।

4.39 The man who has faith, is diligent and has control over the organs, attains Knowledge. Achieving Knowledge, one soon attains supreme Peace.

4.39 ಶ್ರದ್ಧಾವಂತನೂ, ತತ್ಪರನೂ ಇಂದ್ರಿಯಗಳನ್ನು ನಿಗ್ರಹಿಸುವವನೂ ಈ ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಜ್ಞಾನ ದೊರಕಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ತಡವಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಪರಮಶಾಂತಿಯನ್ನು ಗಳಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ.

अज्ञश्चाश्रद्दधानश्च संशयात्मा विनश्यति।

नायं लोकोऽस्ति न परो न सुखं संशयात्मनः।।4.40।।

4.40 One who is ignorant and faithless, and has a doubting mind perishes. Neither this world nor the next nor happiness exists for one who has a doubting mind.

4.40 ಈ ಮಾತಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಶ್ರದ್ಧೆ ಇಲ್ಲದ ಮೂಢನು, ಸಂಶಯಪಟ್ಟು ತನ್ನ ಸರ್ವನಾಶವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಸಂಶಯಾತ್ಮನಿಗೆ ಈ ಲೋಕವೂ ಇಲ್ಲ, ಪರಲೋಕವೂ ಇಲ್ಲ ಮತ್ತು ಸುಖವೂ ಇಲ್ಲ.
