Bhagavadgita 18.24 & 18.25

यत्तु कामेप्सुना कर्म साहङ्कारेण वा पुनः।

क्रियते बहुलायासं तद्राजसमुदाहृतम्।।18.24।।

18.24 ಯಾವುದು ಫಲಭೋಗದ ಇಚ್ಛೆಯಿಂದಲೂ, ಅಹಂಕಾರಪೂರ್ವಕವಾಗಿಯೂ, ಬಲು ಆಯಾಸದಿಂದ ಮಾಡಲ್ಪಡುವುದೋ ಅದು ರಾಜಸವೆನಿಸುವುದು.

18.24 But action performed with great effort by one seeking to gratify his desires, and which is enacted from a sense of false ego, is called action in the mode of passion.

अनुबन्धं क्षयं हिंसामनपेक्ष्य च पौरुषम्।

मोहादारभ्यते कर्म यत्तत्तामसमुच्यते।।18.25।।

18.25 And that action performed in ignorance and delusion without consideration of future bondage or consequences, which inflicts injury and is impractical, is said to be action in the mode of ignorance.

18.25 ಮುಂದೆ ಆಗುವ ಫಲ, ಅದಕ್ಕಾಗಬೇಕಾದ ಶಕ್ತಿವ್ಯಯ, ಅದರಿಂದಾಗುವ ಹಿಂಸೆ, ಅದನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ತನಗೆ ಇರುವ ಸಾಮರ್ಥ್ಯ, ಇವುಗಳೊಂದನ್ನು ಲೆಕ್ಕಿಸದೆ, ಮೋಹದಿಂದ ಮಾಡುವ ಕರ್ಮವು ತಾಮಸವೆನಿಸುವುದು.
