Bhagavadgita 18.28 & 18.29

अयुक्तः प्राकृतः स्तब्धः शठो नैष्कृतिकोऽलसः।

विषादी दीर्घसूत्री च कर्ता तामस उच्यते।।18.28।।

18.28 And that worker who is always engaged in work against the injunction of the scripture, who is materialistic, obstinate, cheating and expert in insulting others, who is lazy, always morose and procrastinating, is a worker in the mode of ignorance.

18.28 ಚಿತ್ತಸಮಾಧಾನವಿಲ್ಲದ, ಚಿತ್ತಸಂಸ್ಕಾರವಿಲ್ಲದ, ಮೋಸಗಾರ, ದುರಭಿಮಾನಿ, ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬರಿಗೆ ಕೇಡು ಬಯಸುವ, ಸೋಮಾರಿಯೂ, ಯಾವಾಗಲೂ ವಿಷಾದ ತುಂಬಿದ ಮುಖವುಳ್ಳ, ಕೆಲಸವನ್ನು ಮುಂದಕ್ಕೆ ಹಾಕುವ ಸ್ವಭಾವದ ಕರ್ತನು ತಾಮಸನೆನಿಸುವನು.

बुद्धेर्भेदं धृतेश्चैव गुणतस्त्रिविधं श्रृणु।

प्रोच्यमानमशेषेण पृथक्त्वेन धनञ्जय।।18.29।।

18.29 Now, O winner of wealth, please listen as I tell you in detail of the three kinds of understanding and determination according to the three modes of nature.

18.29 ಎಲೈ ಧನಂಜಯನೆ, ಗುಣಭೇದದಿಂದ ಮೂರು ಬಗೆಯಾಗಿರುವ ಬುದ್ಧಿಯ ವಿಧಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಧೃತಿಯ ವಿಧಗಳನ್ನೂ ಬೇರೆಬೇರೆಯಾಗಿ ವಿಂಗಡಿಸಿ ಸರಿಯಾಗಿ ಹೇಳುವೆನು, ಕೇಳು.
