Bhagavadgita 14.17 & 14.18

सत्त्वात्सञ्जायते ज्ञानं रजसो लोभ एव च।

प्रमादमोहौ तमसो भवतोऽज्ञानमेव च।।14.17।।

14.17 From the mode of goodness, real knowledge develops; from the mode of passion, grief develops; and from the mode of ignorance, foolishness, madness and illusion develop.

14.17 ಸತ್ವದಿಂದ ಜ್ಞಾನ ಉಂಟಾಗುವುದು. ರಜಸ್ಸಿನಿಂದ ದುರಾಸೆಯುಂಟಾಗುವುದು. ತಮಸ್ಸಿನಿಂದ ಮರವೆಯು, ಮೋಹವು, ಮತ್ತು ಅಜ್ಞಾನಗಳು ಉಂಟಾಗುವುವು.

ऊर्ध्वं गच्छन्ति सत्त्वस्था मध्ये तिष्ठन्ति राजसाः।

जघन्यगुणवृत्तिस्था अधो गच्छन्ति तामसाः।।14.18।।

14.18 Those situated in the mode of goodness gradually go upward to the higher planets; those in the mode of passion live on the earthly planets; and those in the mode of ignorance go down to the hellish worlds.

14.18 ಸಾತ್ವಿಕನು ಮೇಲಿನ ಲೋಕಗಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗುವನು. ರಾಜಸರು ನಡುವಣ ಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿರುವರು. ನೀಚ ಸ್ವಭಾವದ ತಾಮಸರು ಅಧೋಗತಿಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದುವರು.
