नास्ति बुद्धिरयुक्तस्य न चायुक्तस्य भावना।

न चाभावयतः शान्तिरशान्तस्य कुतः सुखम्।।2.66।।

2.66 There is no knowledge of the Self to the unsteady and to the unsteady no meditation is possible, and to the unmeditative there can be no peace, and to the man who has no peace, how can there be happiness?

2.66 ಆಯುಕ್ತನ, ಮನಸ್ಸಮಾಧಾನವಿಲ್ಲದವನ ಬುದ್ಧಿಯು ಸ್ಥಿರವಾಗಿರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಅಸ್ಥಿರನಿಗೆ ಧ್ಯಾನ ಸಾಧ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲ; ಧ್ಯಾನಿಸಿದವನಿಗೆ ಶಾಂತಿಯಿರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಶಾಂತಿಯಿಲ್ಲದವನಿಗೆ ಆನಂದ ಎಲ್ಲಿಯದು?

इन्द्रियाणां हि चरतां यन्मनोऽनुविधीयते।

तदस्य हरति प्रज्ञां वायुर्नावमिवाम्भसि।।2.67।।

2.67 For the mind, which follows in the wake of the wandering senses, carries away his discrimination, as the wind (carries away) a boat on the waters.

2.67 ಅಲೆದಾಡುವ ಇಂದ್ರಿಯಗಳ ಬೆನ್ನಟ್ಟಿ ಹೋಗುವ ಮನಸ್ಸು, ನೀರಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ದೋಣಿಯನ್ನು ಬಿರುಗಾಳಿಯು ಹಾರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುವಂತೆ, ಪ್ರಜ್ಞೆಯನ್ನೇ ಹಾರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುತ್ತದೆ.
