Bhagavadgita 6.6 & 6.7

बन्धुरात्माऽऽत्मनस्तस्य येनात्मैवात्मना जितः।

अनात्मनस्तु शत्रुत्वे वर्तेतात्मैव शत्रुवत्।।6.6।।

6.6 Of him, by whom has been conered his very self by the self, his self is the friend of his self. But, for one who has not conered his self, his self itself acts inimically like an enemy.

6.6 ಯಾವನು ಬುದ್ಧಿಯ ಮೂಲಕ ಮನಸ್ಸನ್ನು ಗೆದ್ದಿರುತ್ತಾನೋ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಅವನ ಮನಸ್ಸೇ ಬಂಧು, ಯಾರು ಗೆದ್ದಿರುವುದಿಲ್ಲವೋ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಅದೇ ಶತ್ರುವಾಗಿ ಪರಿಣಮಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.

जितात्मनः प्रशान्तस्य परमात्मा समाहितः।

शीतोष्णसुखदुःखेषु तथा मानापमानयोः।।6.7।।

6.7 The supreme Self of one who has control over the aggregate of his body and organs, and who is tranquil, becomes manifest. He should be equipoised in the midst of cold and heat, happiness and sorrow, as also honour and dishonour.

6.7 ಮನಸ್ಸನ್ನು ಗೆದ್ದ ಆತ್ಮಸಂಯಮಿಯೂ ಪ್ರಶಾಂತನೂ ಆದವನಿಗೆ ಅಂತಃಕರಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಆತ್ಮನು ನೆಲೆಸಿರುವನು. ಅವನು ಶೀತೋಷ್ಣಗಳಲ್ಲಿ, ಸುಖ-ದುಃಖಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾನಾಪಮಾನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸಮತೋಲನ ಹೊಂದಿರುವನು.
