Bhagavadgita 17.22 & 17.23

अदेशकाले यद्दानमपात्रेभ्यश्च दीयते।

असत्कृतमवज्ञातं तत्तामसमुदाहृतम्।।17.22।।

17.22 And charity performed at an improper place and time and given to unworthy persons without respect and with contempt is charity in the mode of ignorance.

17.22 ದೇಶಕಾಲವನ್ನು ಲೆಕ್ಕಿಸದೆ, ಅಯೋಗ್ಯರಾದವರಿಗೆ, ಅನಾದರದಿಂದಲೂ, ತಿರಸ್ಕಾರದಿಂದಲೂ ಯಾವ ದಾನ ಕೊಡಲ್ಪಡುತ್ತದೋ ಅದು ತಾಮಸವೆನಿಸುವುದು.

तत्सदिति निर्देशो ब्रह्मणस्त्रिविधः स्मृतः।

ब्राह्मणास्तेन वेदाश्च यज्ञाश्च विहिताः पुरा।।17.23।।

17.23 From the beginning of creation, the three syllables-om tat sat-have been used to indicate the Supreme Absolute Truth [Brahman]. They were uttered by brahmanas while chanting Vedic hymns and during sacrifices, for the satisfaction of the Supreme.

17.23 ಓಂ-ತತ್-ಸತ್ ಎಂದು ಬ್ರಹ್ಮಕ್ಕೆ ಮೂರು ಬಗೆಯ ಹೆಸರುಂಟೆಂದು ಬಲ್ಲವರು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಪೂರ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ಬ್ರಾಹ್ಮಣರು, ವೇದಗಳು, ಯಜ್ಞಗಳು ಅದರಿಂದಲೇ ನಿರ್ಮಿತವಾಗಿವೆ.
