Bhagavadgita 14.5 & 14.6

सत्त्वं रजस्तम इति गुणाः प्रकृतिसंभवाः।

निबध्नन्ति महाबाहो देहे देहिनमव्ययम्।।14.5।।

14.5 Material nature consists of the three modes-goodness, passion and ignorance. When the living entity comes in contact with nature, he becomes conditioned by these modes.

14.5 ಎಲೈ ಮಹಾಬಾಹುವೆ, ಪ್ರಕೃತಿಯಿಂದ ಬಂದಿರುವ ಸತ್ವರಜಸ್ತಮಗಳೆಂಬ ಗುಣಗಳು ದೇಹದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಅವ್ಯಯನಾದ ದೇಹಿಯನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಹಾಕುತ್ತವೆ.

तत्र सत्त्वं निर्मलत्वात्प्रकाशकमनामयम्।

सुखसङ्गेन बध्नाति ज्ञानसङ्गेन चानघ।।14.6।।

14.6 O sinless one, the mode of goodness, being purer than the others, is illuminating, and it frees one from all sinful reactions. Those situated in that mode develop knowledge, but they become conditioned by the concept of happiness.

14.6 ಇವುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸತ್ವವು ನಿರ್ಮಲವಾಗಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ಅದು ಬೆಳಕನ್ನು ಕೊಡತಕ್ಕದ್ದು. ಯಾವ ದೋಷವೂ ಇಲ್ಲದ್ದು. ಎಲೈ ಪಾಪರಹಿತನೆ, ಅದು ಸುಖಾಸಕ್ತಿಯಿಂದಲೂ, ಜ್ಞಾನಾಸಕ್ತಿಯಿಂದಲೂ ಜೇವವನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಹಾಕುತ್ತದೆ.
