Bhagavadgita 18.2 & 18.3

श्री भगवानुवाच

काम्यानां कर्मणां न्यासं संन्यासं कवयो विदुः।

सर्वकर्मफलत्यागं प्राहुस्त्यागं विचक्षणाः।।18.2।।

18.2 The Supreme Lord said, To give up the results of all activities is called renunciation [tyaga] by the wise. And that state is called the renounced order of life [sannyasa] by great learned men.

18.2 ಶ್ರೀ ಭಗವಂತನು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ -

ಕಾಮ್ಯಕರ್ಮಗಳನ್ನು ಬಿಡುವುದನ್ನು ಸಂನ್ಯಾಸವೆಂದು ಕೆಲವರು ಪಂಡಿತರು ಕರೆಯುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಸರ್ವಕರ್ಮಗಳ ಫಲವನ್ನು ಬಿಡುವುದು ತ್ಯಾಗವೆಂದು ಜಾಣರು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ.

त्याज्यं दोषवदित्येके कर्म प्राहुर्मनीषिणः।

यज्ञदानतपःकर्म न त्याज्यमिति चापरे।।18.3।।

18.3 Some learned men declare that all kinds of fruitive activities should be given up, but there are yet other sages who maintain that acts of sacrifice, charity and penance should never be abandoned.

18.3 ದೋಷಯುಕ್ತವಾಗಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ಕರ್ಮವನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಬಿಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ಕೆಲವರು ಪಂಡಿತರು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಯಜ್ಞ. ದಾನ, ತಪಸ್ಸಿನ ಕರ್ಮಗಳನ್ನು ಬಿಡಕೂಡದೆಂದು ಮತ್ತೆ ಕೆಲವರು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ.
